How School Partnerships Help

Improve Academic Outcomes

School partnership programs often lead to improved academic outcomes for students. When specialized services such as tutoring or mentorship are provided, students show improved academic performance, and lower rates of absenteeism and suspension.

Create Stable learning Environments

Simply put, when basic needs are met, students are able to focus on learning. When community organizations offer “wraparound” services like food pantry support, health programs, social-emotional learning, and mentorship, academic performance soars.

Help the Underserved

Underserved populations, especially Black students and English Language Learners, show the greatest range of improved success from School Partnership programs. Helping minority populations fill the gaps of learning is proven to help these students succeed.

Impact & Effectiveness

Studies have shown that students who have access to wellness center services are more likely to feel supported, experience better mental and physical health, and perform better academically.

“Students get overwhelmed and stressed by so many different things going on in their lives right now, and this space gives them an opportunity to come in when they just need a quick mental health break, to settle, breathe, refocus, and then get back to their academics.”
